Director & Producer

Sabine Kertscher was born in Switzerland, she studied art history, musicology & philosophy (MA) in Germany and also trained at London’s National Film and Television School’s ‘Finishing School Division’ as a 2D Compositor. She worked in this capacity for several years in feature Films with directors such as Ridley, Scott (on academy award winner Black Hawk Dawn), Jan De Bont (Lara Croft –Tomb Raider) and with Producer/Actor Pierce Brosnan (Evelyn) to name but a few.

Sabine moved to New York City in 2004 and specialized in Documentary Filmmaking and Post Production Consulting / Supervising. The last 4 years Sabine has worked at Maysles Films Inc, where she was last Post Supervisor & Associate Editor on the acclaimed documentary ‘The Gates’ (Ferrera-Maysles Films for HBO, Arte).

Rebecca Losick
Associate Producer / Sound Recordist

Rebecca is an experienced freelance producer and sound recordist. She has worked on a variety of projects for Maysles Films since the early 1990’s. Her most recent credits include The Gates (HBO,ARTE), The Dalai Lama in New York (Work in progress), Before I leave – with Bill Moyers’ (PBS), Vote for Change (sundance Channel), With the Filmmakers – 4 Portraits: Martin Scorsese, R.Duval, Jane Campion, Wes Anderson (IFC), Life at Lincoln Center (PBS) amongst others.

Rebecca also served for 2 years as Curator Film Assistant at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.

Marc Petitjean
Camera Feance

Marc Petitjean is a Filmmaker and Cinematographer with an artistic eye and an interest in art. His own projects and films Zones Grises and Atomic Wounds (Winner Prix de la jeunesse, Montreal Film Festival 2006) have played at MoMA (Blessures Atomiques) and Royal Ontario Museum, some of his earlier works have been shown at the Centre Pompidou, Paris (see for example Renzo Piano–Achitecte au long Cour & also his film Cesar) and the Biennale in Venice (Une autre Ville, 1994 & Objets trouves, 1996) and the Whitney Museum (Intersection conique – Gordon Matta Clark (1975-2006).

Albert Maysles

Albert Maysles is a pioneer of Direct Cinema who with his brother David was the first to make nonfiction feature films (Gimme Shelter, Grey Garden, Salesman) where the drama of life unfolds as is without scripts, sets, interviews or narration. His 36 films include What’s Happening? The Beatles in the USA(1964), five films of the projects of Christo and Jeanne-Claude (1972 to 1995), Meet Marlon Brando (1965) and three documentaries for HBO.

He received a Guggenheim Fellowship (1965), A Peabody, An Emmy, five Lifetime Achievement Awards, the award for best cinematography at Sundance (2002) for Lalee's Kin which was also nominated in 2001 for an Academy Award and most recently, the Columbia Dupont Award (2004). In 1999 Eastman Kodak saluted him as one of the 100 world's finest cinematographers. Albert’s latest poject with Antonio Ferrera and Matt Prinzing, The Gates (1979-2005), premiered in may 2007 at the Tribeca Filmfestival to great acclaim.

Zillah Bowes

Zillah Bowes trained in cinematography at the National Film and Television School in the UK, where she was twice awarded the Kodak Scholarship.

Since then she has shot several award-winning fiction, documentary and art films, including Enemies of Happiness, shot in Afghanistan, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance in 2007.

Martina Radwan

Martina Radwan started in her native Germany in the film industry in 1987 as a Camera Technician at ARRI, Berlin. In 1988 she began to work in production as Assistant Camera, for DP’s like Robby Mueller, Juergen Juerges and Wim Wenders.

In 1995 she moved to New York, attended the NYU film program and subsequently worked as a Director of Photography. Her work includes collaboration with directors like Rebecca Miller, Thomas Allan Harris, Alison McLean. ‘Personal Velocity’, directed by Rebecca Miller won the Cinematographer Award Sundance Film Festival and The Grand Jury price for Best Film in 2002. ‘Ferry Tales’, directed by Katja Esson, was nominated for the 2004 Academy Award.

Vic Losick

Vic Losick is a New York City-based documentary filmmaker. Recently Vic has shot several long-form documentaries: 2 American Masters for PBS; “Ella Fitzgerald, Something to Live For” and “Clint Eastwood, Out of the Shadows;” an independent feature documentary, "Pie in the Sky;" and a one-hour show for Martin Scorsese's "Blues" series, "Piano Blues," directed by Clint Eastwood.

Vic also produced (with director Mirra Bank) the independent feature documentary, "Last Dance," which was named by the Academy of Arts and Sciences as one of the Best Documentaries of 2002-03. Currently he is producing & directing a full-length documentary on the church/state issues raised in Kearny High School in NJ; an episode for CBS' "48 Hours;" and a documentary on the restoration & re-installation of the B & B carousel in Coney Island.

Daniella Zanzotto

Daniela Zanzotto is an independent director/producer/camera woman. She grew up in Rome, Paris, Mexico City, and London and is of French and Italian parents and is now based in London.

In 1996 Daniela completed her masters degree in French history and literature at the University of Rochester (US). After taking a short course in filmmaking, she set off for Paris and made her first documentary, If The Walls Could Speak. Her most recent documentary and debut feature, Zoned In, won the NY Loves Film Best Documentary award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
